also in the home place cemetary are a bunch of stones that they believe might be other children........Lee is the name of one.

Dan Dean was born in Ar actually.......and he died there and Grandma and Grandma Dean went to get him and bring his body home. And they were in Ar for a couple yrs ....I think it was aunt Frances that is the one that broke her leg on that journey.

According to the 1870 census, Daniel says he was born in Tennessee, 2 houses down is a Jacob Turner, also from Tennessee and 4 years younger than Daniel. I'm thinking this is probably a brother, the wife for him is Louise C., children: Sarah, Manda, Martha, Harva (probably Harvy), 2 houses down from him, is another Turner, Hiram, 63 years old and born in KY (could this be their father?), if it is, he is on his second marriage as the wife is only 40 and not old enough to have had Jacob or Daniel.But, Hiram's children with this wife are all born in Alabama, of course, just because the other boys were born in Tennessee, doesn't mean the 1/2 siblings couldn't have been born in Alabama.

Charles and his wife are not found after the 1880 census. I don't know if they passed or if they divorced. THere is a Charles A. Turner found with a wife named Louise in the 1900 or later census( didn't write down which one it was) with 3 children, all born after 1880, he is also the correct age as this Charles, from the same area, and living in the correct area. I also found a Charles A. Deanr who married a Eliza Ruby in Christian co.,MO 2-25-1883, I have not been able to verify if this is him or not. There is also a Sarah Dean who married an Alexander McClain on 8-23-1885, maybe they divorced and both remarried? Or they passed, and are buried in the family cemetery with no known marker. STill working this one out.

Found a Charles Dean buried in the Wise Hill Cemetery, thinking now that maybe Sarah remarried. Checking into that as well.

Note...rules suicide but a family story about that.......His mother Julina was holding him on way to hospital and he said something to her but the others couldnt hear what he said. Years later they moved the cemetary and when they opened his coffin there was nothing in there but a screw and harness. No bones ....no body. It is believed that his brother Lewis Lewis (Fred) murdered him as he had threatened to kill Lewis' wife. She had let Elmers daughter from first marriage go to bed with her brother. Elmer was a small man and he had his rifle with him , which was found laying by his side. The bullet went in the top of the head and came out the bottom as if it had been shot from a high place. He couldnt have shot himself with that rifle......his arms were too short. Info from his daughter and son.

All of his children were in the service during WWII

Leatrice serviced in the mil during the war and worked on the Norton bombsite for McDonald Douglas . Archie retired from the United States Air Force as a Msgt after 27 1/2yrs of service.
